Not a long time ago, I heard the most thoughtful voice on the phone querying about the best wedding photographer in California. It was Cony’s and she wanted us to capture her Mehndi ceremony. Simple details for the simplest event!
Cony is the sweetest bride to be we met! She was chill, fun, and made us laugh, which helped us get “the most natural and awesome shots.”
A Mehndi ceremony is the first event we typically capture as wedding videographer Californiain a traditional Indian wedding. Beautiful Mehndi designs are applied to the hands and feet of the bride and her family members- an enjoyable way to get together before the big day! Look at our lovely bride Cony smiling and enjoying getting her Mehndi with the perfect shade of makeup and flawless hair!
What we choose to photograph in a Mehndi event is to click candid pictures. First, we want everyone to get used to us to avoid uncomfortable or awkward photos. We learn about the bride’s immediate family, her parents, and the bride’s maids- this helps us capture not just pictures but also treasured memories.
We keep our album a mixture of “looking at the camera” and candid photos. We tell the people to look up and capture that exact moment to get natural poses.
We direct the family and friends to come along with hugs and kisses as people often forget these in the hustle-bustle. But, later on, these images are the ones that are cherished the most.
